Taking advantage of the standardized format of new refractory materials, available in boards of different thicknesses and compositions, the aim of this project was to create a mould by layering the boards, and to combine them in different compositions.
By CNC cutting the boards, it would be possible to provide shape and texture to the glass and, as well, mechanical properties to the final piece.
Adding precise geometrical shapes in the mould, it would be possible to create functional joints within the final glass piece.

This fragment shows an early test where the fine texture is obtained by CNC milling the surface of the mould.
