Dichroic coating on float glass allows particular light wavelengths to penetrate the surface and reflects the others. The glass can therefore appear colored or transparent, depending on the light radiation or viewing angle. In this project, the coated glass was used as alternative medium to present a series of pictures of carnival dancers by the photographer Cyril Porchet. The use of the coated glass is inspired by church windows and the flickering color of the costumes. Since the pictures were originally taken in black and white, the glass invents a new color effect.
